Mindfulness ExercisesThis article is dedicated to Mindfulness Exercises but first what is mindfulness?
Mindfulness means to be totally present. How many of us can honestly say at any given moment that we are totally present? There are mindfulness exercises that you can do to train yourself to become more present. But first, let’s discuss being present.
What does it mean to be completely present? Being completely present is being in the moment. It doesn’t mean thinking about what you are going to make for dinner or thinking about all the things you need to accomplish this week. It means being in the moment and experiencing it. It means listening to someone who you are having a conversation without letting your mind wonder. Being present means being totally engaged at the moment without distraction.
Mindfulness Exercises will train you to be in the moment, not worrying about the future or dwelling on the past. As the saying goes, “"Yesterday is History, Tomorrow a Mystery, Today is a Gift, That’s why it's called the Present." FIXEDI recently had a problem with the way my website was displayed. I fixed the problem with some help from my SBI friends. Apparently I need to study up a little more on the use of HTML. For those computer geeks like myself, I forgot to close a strong tag and for those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, no big deal. That is why I love SBI because you can create a site and not have to understand the geeky stuff.
